About the Anti-Ragging Committee

The Anti-Ragging Committee at SIAMS&RC is committed to preventing ragging, bullying, and any form of harassment among students. The committee works actively to promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment for all students.

It plays a vital role in creating awareness about the harmful effects of ragging and provides necessary support and guidance to students who may face such issues. Students are strongly encouraged to report any incident of ragging, ensuring prompt action and resolution.

Objectives of the Anti-Ragging Committee

Scope & Functions

1. Prevention

• Organizing awareness programs on anti-ragging regulations.
• Displaying information about rules, punishments, and student rights.
• Conducting orientation sessions for new students on zero-tolerance policies.

2. Complaint Handling

• Receiving and responding to ragging complaints promptly.
• Investigating reported incidents thoroughly and fairly.
• Taking necessary disciplinary action as per institutional and legal guidelines.

3. Campus Safety & Support

• Providing emotional and administrative support to victims of ragging.
• Ensuring a harassment-free and supportive campus environment.
• Monitoring vulnerable areas to prevent incidents.

4. Enforcement

• Enforcing strict anti-ragging regulations.
• Creating a campus culture of tolerance, dignity, and mutual respect.
• Reporting severe cases to appropriate authorities as required by law.
